Hitched: The Final Five by G. K. DeRosa

Available: April 16, 2019

*I received an ecopy of this book in exchange for a review*

Synopsis:

Five bachelors left. Four mystical families to meet and territories to explore. Four chances to avoid a supernatural war.
Kimmie-Jayne thought discovering the bachelors were supernatural was tough, until she finds out she has to spend the week with their families.

Now she’s whisked off to meet four of the most powerful families of Azar. If she can survive dragon lords, daunting angels, the intrigue of Fae court, and the Underworld, she’ll end up with the man of her dreams. Or so she hopes.

But nothing is as it seems in each of these households, and perils loom in every corner of the vast estates. As more secrets and betrayals surge to the surface, Kimmie-Jayne can’t deny that following her heart might get her killed.

Will the men she loves be able to protect her or will the supernatural world prove too much for her as she struggles to choose the final two?”

Review:

4.5 Stars

Honestly each book tops the last! I’m not sure if my heart can take whatever is going to happen in the next book because I CANNOT CHOOSE between the last five guys. Since this is the third book and book two has been out for a couple of weeks I’m going to start dropping names, powers, and possibly other spoilers, so if you don’t want to be spoiled, don’t read anymore of this post.

The final five guys are

  • Felix and Flare (the Betas of the dragon clan)
  • Cillian (Kimmie’s Guardian Angle)
  • Elrian (Winter Fae Prince)
  • Ryder (Lucifer’s Son… yes that Lucifer)

In this book Kimmie gets to spend some time visiting each of the bachelor’s family to a) get a better feel of who the person is b) meet the family (obviously) c) try to see where she might fit in.

Meeting a person’s family for the first time is stressful for any new couple. Then you have to take in consideration that these families are very important, there are cameras everywhere so Kimmie, the guy, and the family can’t really talk freely, then there’s basically someone trying to kidnap or kill Kimmie at each of the bachelor’s territory… so yeah to say it’s stressful is the understatement of the century.

The secrets that these guys have been hold back are huge. First of all a certain someone would have to quit his line of work. The. Someone would ……. sorry can’t really say because it’s really spoilers but the secrets are coming from EVERYONE. I’m going to say this again, I am so glad I’m not Kimmie because there is so much riding on who she picks and how it effects the guy.

For a hot second, I thought Kimmie was going to die at the hands of the Spring Court because of how Elrian’s father handle the whole Elrian being betrothed to the Spring King’s daughter. Kimmie was trapped in a cell, and I can’t even describe how I felt in that moment. Elrian has always held Kimmie at a distance but it’s not his fault because fae aren’t know to be really affection but once he saved her, I knew then that he has truly likes her.

Also, the choice of choosing got slightly easier because one of the guys said that as much as he likes Kimmie, she isn’t the one. But don’t you worry, they are still friends and everything is good because Kimmie would much rather find out this way and keep a friend then compared to some of the other past contestants.

Speaking of past contestants, we find from Lucifer during Kimmie’s visit to Rider’s home that some of those guys weren’t who they made Kimmie think and some of those guys had a hand in some of the craziness that went on!

“Too bad this isn’t one of those reverse harem TV shows.” Bash winks and shoots me a sarcastic grin.”

Tbh this is the truest thing I have read because thought (and secretly hoped) that this would be a reverse harem story. I mean there is one book left with 4 guys that are interested in Kimmie to become their wife, but I seriously think it’s going to be a monogamist relationship. However, I could be surprised in the last book.

With a few things that need to be answered, I know that the last book is going to pack an emotional punch. Because the next book is going to begin with and elimination and we have to say goodbye to somebody else *sigh*.
At the end of book three, I’m proud to tell you that I’m finally able to narrow down my favorite to two of the guys left! Hopefully Kimmie and I are on the same page!
