I’m back with another book tag!!! Thank you Emma @ A Few Chapters ’til Love for tagging me.
HOW MANY BOOKS IS TOO MANY IN A SERIES?
It depends on the series. I’m currently 12 books in one series that is supposed to have about 20 in it. While other series seems to drag on with about 4 or more books when the story could have been condensed to about 2 or 3 books.
HOW DO YOU FEEL ABOUT CLIFFHANGERS?
I have mixed feelings about them. If I pick up a series that is completed and it has a cliffhanger then it’s fine because I can just buy the next book and continue. BUT, if it’s an ongoing series, then I have to wait a year or longer to read it then I’m not happy about them.
HARDBACK OR PAPERBACK?
Honestly, I don’t care. There are pros and cons to both (such as cost and working with them for bookstagram), but as long as I can hold the actual book in my hand, I’m not going to discriminate.
Y’all I hate being asked this question. There are honestly so many books that I would consider to be my favorite. I CANNOT PICK JUST ONE. I have a top seven page on my blog with some titles (although I need to add more categories to it).
LEAST FAVOURITE BOOK?
Basically anything John Green (yes, I’ve read multiple books by him and they aren’t for me).
LOVE TRIANGLE . . . YES OR NO?
Again, there are conditions. If the MC ends up with the love interest that I like then yes (because who doesn’t love a lot drama), but if not then NO. There was one book I read years ago where the girl dated the guy that I didn’t like and it literally RUINED the book for me.
THE MOST RECENT BOOK YOU COULDN’T FINISH?
Mmmmm. I’m not one for DNFing books, but I had put down The Poppy War a few months ago. I’ve heard that it’s a great book, but because there wasn’t any romance (even slow burn), and I couldn’t seem to get into it.
A BOOK YOU’RE CURRENTLY READING?
Spin the Dawn by Elizabeth Lim
THE LAST BOOK YOU RECOMMENDED SOMEONE?
Gah… I’m not sure. Does my weekly release posts count???
OLDEST BOOK (PUB. DATE) THAT YOU’VE READ?
I’m going to go with The Scarlet Letter by Nathaniel Hawthorne because it was for school a few years ago.
NEWEST BOOK YOU’VE READ (PUB. DATE)?
Sorcery of Thorns by Margaret Rogerson (which I LOVED).
Another question I don’t like being asked. Just to name a few Jennifer L. Armentrout, Sarah Dessen, Morgan Matson, Wendy Higgins, and C. L. Stone.
BUYING BOOKS OR BORROWING THEM?
Buying them. I have nothing against borrowing them, but I prefer to own my books because I can read at my own pace without having to recheck it out, decorate my room with them, and collect them.
A BOOK YOU DISLIKE BUT EVERYONE ELSE LIKES?
Throne of Glass, All the Bright Place, and We Were Liars. There are a few more in an unpopular opinion post from months ago.
BOOKMARKS OR DOG EARS?
BOOKMARKS. I’ll be honest, I’ve dog eared a few books that teachers let us borrow, but in my defense, they had been dog eared before me.
A BOOK YOU CAN REREAD OVER AND OVER?
Either the Lux Series by JLA or the Syrena Legacy by Anna Banks.
CAN YOU READ WHILE LISTENING TO MUSIC?
Yes, it helps me block out surrounding noise and I love to listen to music. Although, I can’t listen to brand new songs while reading because my attention is split between the two and I end up focusing more on the song.
MULTIPLE POV’S OR ONE POV?
It depends on the book and the experience that would be given through the different POVs. Like if it was two POVs, but one of the two were to give away a major plot or something like that then one POV is for me. Then sometimes less is more because in the Heroes of Olympus series, it has so many different POVs that it was a lot going on.
DO YOU READ A BOOK IN ONE SITTING OR OVER MULTIPLE DAYS ON AVERAGE?
Multiple days. As crazy as it sounds, I’m rather busy and can’t set enough time aside to read a book in one sitting.
I’m tagging YOU!!! If you complete this tag, make sure to tag me (or drop a link in the comments) so I can see it.
Happy reading until next time,
