Hi everyone! I want to thank Emma @ AFCTL for nominating me for this award! Make sure that you go and check out her blog because she has so amazing reviews and bookish content!
I just posted my WWW for this week with a *lengthy-ish* update about life and school, so if you want the low down you can read it over there. But, in a nutshell, I’m tired and have a bunch of things to do this weekend!
RULES
- Thank the blogger who nominated you
- Tag this post with #awesomebloggeraward
- Answer all the questions given to you
- Nominate 5 people and let them know
- Write 10 questions for them to answer
What’s your favorite flower?
I honestly don’t know if I have a favorite flower! I love daisies, roses, tulips, lilies, basically anything with petals! Whenever I go to Lowes (a hardware store that also sells plants and gardening stuff) I always spend way to much money because I’m consently buying new plants!
When was the oldest book you own published?

Oh good heavens, let me consult the bookcases. *excuse me while I step away from the computer* Out of the books that I’ve read, it would be The Vampire Diaries 1991; from the books I have but haven’t read, it would be… never mind TVD looks like it’s the oldest book I have *from what I can see*.
Worst book to screen adaptation in your opinion?
Mmm… honestly I’ve kind of stayed away from recent book to screen adaptations. But if I had to pick one it would either be The Kissing Booth by Beth Reekles or The Fault in Our Stars. First off, let me say that I read both of those books before watching the movies and I didn’t care for either book, SO I may be a little biased from the beginning, and secondly TFIOS casting threw me off me off because I had associated Ansel and Shailene as Tris and Caleb, so it was weird for me to see them as brother and sister to love interests.
Are you good at gardening / keeping houseplants alive?

YES!!! I’m the person in my family with the green thumb. I have a small house plant in my bedroom named Victor, and I can keep cut flowers thriving for over two weeks! I can also grow things from seeds, and in 2018 one of my annual summer plants came back this year and bloomed!
Favorite shadowhunter rune?
First off, thank you Emma for including the link because even though I’ve read TID, TMI, Tales from the Shadowhunter Academy, and the first two books of TDA, I could probably name only a handful. But I think my favorite one might be ‘Friendship’ because I feel like that one is powerful in a way that speed and strength isn’t.
Do you plan your posts or write when you get inspired?
I try (using the that word extremely loosely) to write some posts a head of time and save them in my drafts for those really hard times when I’m unable to sit down and write. However, I normally write whenever I feel inspired, and I’m able to turn an idea into a post!
What would you do if you got given $10,000 but you could only spend it today?
Umm… put it in stocks and let it multiple?
Real answer: I’d probably help pay off my car and *of course* buy a few books and a couple of new book cases.
Do you have pets? Can we see them (cause I love a cute animal)?

Yes! I have 2 dogs, 7 grown chickens, and 4 baby chicks! Chloe was supposed to be the family dog, but technically she’s mine! She’s the gray miniature schnauzer, and Samson is the black and white dog we adopted for the local animal shelter. He’s more of a family dog than Chloe because he goes to everyone! Then we have my buff orpingtons (the yellow chickens), dark Brahmas (the black, white, and gray chickens), and black laced wyandotte baby chicks (top right photo)! I have a total of 3 roosters and 7 females (including the chicks).
Least favourite type of candy?
Sour candy! I’ll eat the watermelon sour patch kids, but I generally stay away from most sour stuff because it leaves my teeth feeling weird and after so many my tongue gets raw.
Prettiest book cover / jacket in your opinion?

I love the jacket for The Problem with Forever by Jennifer L. Armentrout because it has a bunch of bright color splatters and it’s very simplistic. I also love the OwlCrate cover of Amber and Dusk because of the color scheme.
My Questions:
- What is a hyped book that you didn’t like as much as others?
- What is your favorite paranormal/mythical creature to read about?
- Age old question: coffee or tea?
- What is your favorite reading season?
- What about a book inspires you to pick it up?
- Who is your favorite musician?
- What would your perfect day consist of you doing?
- What’s a hobby (besides reading) that you love to do and couldn’t live without?
- Do you have any quirky talents?
- What is something that instantly makes you happy?
