Hi everyone! I’m here with another mash up book tag! I’ve been tagged to do the Would You Rather Book Tag and This or That Book Tag! A huge thanks to both of the bloggers who tagged me (I linked their post under the appropriate heading! Honestly, I wasn’t sure how well I was going to do with these tags because I can very indecisive at time when it comes to choosing (you’ll see), but I made myself pick only one answer for a lot of the prompts!!!
Would You Rather Book Tag
Thank you Nen and Jen over at Nen and Jen for tagging me!
Read Only Trilogies or Standalones?
Trilogies! I feel like some standalones are so good or end on a cliffhanger that it could use more to the content, and if I don’t like books in a trilogy, I can just put it down.
Read Only Female or Male Authors?
I’ll have to go with female authors since many of the books I’ve read are written by female. Also, some male authors tend to get gory in books, and I’m not a horror person.
Shop at Barnes & Noble or Amazon?
Amazon because a) free shipping with orders over $25 b) there are more indie authors selling physical books c) the selection is wider in general and d) prices are usually cheaper
All Books Becomes Movies or TV Shows?
I think it depends on the book and the amount of content the viewers want to see. I’m going to say TV shows since it won’t take as long to put out new episode and it’ll give you something to look forward to each month (if it comes out on cable and not a streaming service).
Read Five Pages Per Day or Five Books Per Week?
It would be AMAZING if I could read five books a week. Do you know how much faster I’d go through my unread books?! But the downside would be me having to buy more bookcases to put the newly read books on and find a place to put said bookcases.
Be a Professional Reviewer or Author?
I’d be a professional reviewer because I not only love what I’m doing now but I just don’t see myself as an author.
Only Read Your Top Twenty Favourite Books Over and Over or Always Read New Ones That You Haven’t Read Before?
I think I’d always read a new book because I might find new favorite book while reading a new book. I mean have you seen my TBR list.
Be a Librarian or Bookseller?
A bookseller! I would have a little coffee/tea area with a small areas that has baked goods and a place to read!
Only Read Your Favourite Genre or Every Genre except Your Favourite?
I think I can survive on reading only my favorite genre plus now there’s a lot of cross genres, so I found a loophole!
Only Read Physical Books or E-Books?
Physical books. As much as I love the thought of having multiple books on a device, there’s nothing like turning the pages of a book.
This or That Tag
Thank you so much Chapel at Kavordian Library for tagging me to do this tag!
The Couch or the Bed
Bed! I love being in my bedroom with the glowing Christmas lights on my bookcases and music playing from my ipod without the distraction of people coming in an out of the living room.
Main Male or Female MC
I’m going to go with female MC since a lot of YA books are told from the POV. I like a book with a male MC every now and then but it’s different reading from a guy’s POV.
Sweet or Salty Snacks
Can I say something like chocolate cover pretzels and have the best of both worlds or are y’all going to make me choose? I guess I’ll have to go with sweet snacks, I love things like M&Ms since they aren’t really messy and I can just pop a few in my mouth while reading.
Trilogies or Quartets
I think trilogies because sometimes quartets can be drug out to the point of why I am still reading about these characters, this series could have ended in the last book.
A.M. or P.M.
I’m a morning person, but some days I could go either way!
First or Third P.O.V.
First person POV! I find it hard to connect with some stories and characters when it’s told in third.
Libraries or Bookstores
Bookstores, I love browsing the aisles of books looking at the covers hoping to find a book to buy (not that it’s that difficult, but y’all know what I’m talking about)! The libraries in my area are just your generic library when it comes to the YA section (and some branches are just lacking all together).
Laugh or Cry
I think cry because most anything can make me laugh, but to make me cry, I need to have made a connection with the situation or character and that’s when I know that the book I’m reading is special.
Black or White Covers
I honestly don’t know! White covers seem so stark next to a ‘normal’ color, but sometimes black is so dreary.
Character or Plot Driven
I think I like character driven books because even if the plot is amazing, if you have bad and uninteresting characters it just ruins the whole thing for me and makes me skim over the word not and not retain anything.
I’m not going to tag anyone in particular, but if you see this and decide to do any of these tags, make sure to tag me so I can read your answers!
Happy reading until next time,
