Sunshine Blogger Award Parts 4 & 5

Hi everyone! How’s your Thursday going? Honestly, yesterday and today has been super busy for me because I started clinical for nursing school! This is the first ‘job’ that I’ve ever had (well I volunteered at the hospital for 3 summers, but you can only do so much as a volunteer) but today I was constantly running around doing different things to help my patient and was helping some of the other people in my group! Even though I was pretty scared thing morning, it was also exciting because I was able to put some of the skills that I’ve learned over the past couple on months to use on real people!

Anyway, I’m here today because I’ve been nominated for the Sunshine Blogger Award two more times! It always makes me so happy and honored whenever I’m nominated for any type of award because it means that I’m doing something right and all of my hard work is hopefully making others happy!

Also, I’ve been nominated and tagged to do a couple of other things, so I’m trying to catch up on them since I haven’t had much time to blog over the past couple of weeks!

Part 4

Thank you so much Hina @ Hina Loves to Read for nominating me for this award!

What is the first book you remember reading?

Dr. Seuss books. There’s not one particular book that I remember reading first, but I loved them as a child!

What is your biggest pet peeve?

Slow drivers (and walkers). I mean, it’s kind of the same thing.

What is your go to place to read?

I’m going to say my bed because I can get comfortable without worrying about having people distract me or try to get me to do somethings.

Name one of your book boyfriends.

Will Herondale. I know that y’all are probably sick of me saying him over and over again, but he really is a complex character that is all over the place.

How much importance do you give a book cover?

On a scale from 1 to 10, I’d give covers a 7 or 8 on importance because a lot of the time the cover draws me into reading the synopsis of the book.

Name one book series you can return to without any qualms.

It would either be the Lux series by Jennifer L. Armentrout or the Ghost Bird series by C.L. Stone.

Name one character that you see yourself reflected in.

I see the adopted part of me in Mouse from The Problem with Forever by JLA and the book nerd part of me in Amy from The Book Worm Crush. But a lot of the books that I’ve been reading lately have characters that I can see small parts of myself.

Tell me that one thing you always mention when introducing yourself.

First thought was my name, but I know that’s not what y’all wanted to hear. Next thought, I’m a Nursing Student.

Name one book for which you liked the movie adaption way better.

To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before by Jenny Han. It’s been years since I read the book, but from what I remember the book is a lot cuter and swoon worthy than the book.

What is the book you are currently reading?

The Book Worm Crush by Lisa Brow Roberts.

Name one author whose books you buy without reading the synopsis.

Jennifer L. Armentrout. Right now it’s her YA books that I autobuy, but I love her because she writes for a variety of genre and age groups.

Part 5

Thank you, Tiffany @ Bookish Tiffany for nominating me for this (well I kind of tagged myself, but she opened it to anyone who wanted to do it).

Why did you become a book blogger?

For the long story, you can click here. But, essentially, I wanted to share my thoughts on books that I have read and loved that wasn’t receiving the love I think they deserved.

What’s your favorite unpopular or underrated book?

Favorite unpopular book would be… Sorcery of Thorns by Margaret Rogerson. I know that’s not one of those books that is a true unpopular book, but I’ve seen a good many people say that it didn’t live up to the hype.

My favorite underrated book, gah… I can’t choose just one! There are so many from the Testing Series to the Ghost Bird Series to the Sweet Evil Series.

Do you have any tips for other bloggers?

My biggest tip is to just be yourself! Each person has a different thought process and writing style, so use that to your advantage and make your blog/posts special! I also just celebrate my one year blogiversary and talked about some of the fears and struggles I’ve had and ways that I’ve overcame them!

What’s your favorite thing about yourself?

My sassy! I know that’s kind of odd, but I like to surprise people because most of the time I’m really quiet, but once I start to come out of my shell around you the sass (and sarcasm) comes out full force!

What’s one book you don’t have that you would kill to get?

The special 10 year anniversary edition of Clockwork Angel that’s coming out soon and the special edition of ACOTAR!

Would you rather write in a book or have to dog ear the pages?

I think I would rather write in my book with a pen that I knew wouldn’t bleed through the pages. I love the thought of annotating my books, but I’m so afraid that I would make a mistake or it would look good.

What’s your favorite bookish merch?

I love bookish candles because it’s one of those ways to be able to actually smell a character or place without having to imagine it!

Do you see yourself blogging still in five years?

I really hope that I will be able to keep up with my blog for that long! I love blogging because even though this is primarily a book blog, it’s also a mini journal for me, and I’m able to just talk about things,

What’s the longest book you have ever read?

I want to say that it’s Breaking Dawn, but at the same time Cassandra Clare’s books are really long, so it’s between one of the two!

If you could make everyone read one book what book would you pick?

Save the Date by Morgan Matson. It’s such a fun book that deals with family issues and growing up!

Who’s an inspiration to you in the blogging community?

Honestly, everyone is an inspiration because blogging is hard work and it’s one of those things were people are sharing something special and put themselves out there for the world.

Did you complete your Goodreads goal yet?

Yes!!! I think I finished my goal of 50 books back in August because a guy from my class had found my blog and made a comment about me reading 50 books in a year!
