It’s Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas Book Tag | Blogmas Day 11

Hi everyone I just posted some Christmas recs the other day and thought I would do some Christmas book tags! Once again, I haven’t created a tag, but compiled a lot of tags that have a central focus – in this case Christams!

Also, I passed my nursing finals and clinical rotation!!! The past couple of months have been so crazy, and I just want to thank all of y’all for continuing to stick with me even when I couldn’t post every day like I wanted to. My goal is to write a post sometime soon where I talk about my college experience up to this point!

Naughty or Nice Book Tag

I saw this recently on Megabunny Read‘s blog and thought it would be fun to do!

The Rules

  • Tag & link the person who tagged you.
  • Tag and link Jenniely’s original post, for she’d love to read everyone’s answers!
  • Tick/cross off the ones you’ve done.
  • Tally up how naughty or nice you are!
  • Tag another 10 people.

Received an ARC and not reviewed it.

Well… kind of. I have a book sitting on my iPad that should have be read and reviewed over the summer, but the book doesn’t come out until February and I have all intentions to read it.

Oh, I just remember that I have a handful of ARCs in my bedroom that I’ve won from giveaways that I haven’t read yet.

Have less than 60% feedback rating on NetGalley.

Ha! My feedback ratio is 67%!

Read a book on Goodreads and promised a full review was to come on your blog (and never did).

Oh good heavens, I’m going to say yes because I feel like I saw that on a book I read recently but I can’t swear to it.

Folded down the page of a book.

Yes. Have you ever tried to read a new paperback book where the pages just wouldn’t stay?

Accidentally spilled on a book.

Do my tears count. Then yes, I have.

DNF a book this year.

No… I don’t ‘DNF’ books.

Bought a book purely because it was pretty with no intention of reading it.

No, I haven’t gotten to that point yet in my book career.

Read while you were meant to be doing something else (like homework).

Do I even need to answer that.

Skim read a book.

Parts of a book? Yes. The whole book? No.

Completely missed your Goodreads goal.

Nope! I’m almost 10 books over it!

Borrowed a book and not returned it to the library.

Nah. I don’t borrow books from my library.

Broke a book buying ban.

Yes. I was on a semi-book buying ban earlier this year… and let’s just say that it didn’t work.

Started a review, left it for ages then forgot what the book was about.

Surprisingly this hasn’t happened yet.

Written in a book you were reading.

No. I’m not one of those people.

Finished a book and not added it to your Goodreads.

Maybe years ago when I was just using it to find new books.

Borrowed a book and not returned it to a friend.

No. I’m the person everyone goes to borrow the books from.

Dodged someone asking if they can borrow a book

Possibly, especially if I know the person will damage my book.

Broke the spine of someone else’s book.

Took the jacket off a book to protect it and ended up making it more damaged.

I think you’re thinking about my sister.

Sat on a book accidentally

I don’t think so…

9/20. I’m going to say that I’ve been nice this year. *hahaha*

Festive Christmas Book Tag

I saw this tag yesterday on Rachael’s blog @ Scorpio Book Dreams! This tag was originally created by GirlReading on booktube!

A fictional family you would like to spend Christmas dinner with.

The Herondales only if I can somehow make all of the generations come. I might bring a couple of ducks to see what would happen.

A bookish item you would like to receive as a Christmas gift.

I’d love to get some bookish enamel pins!

A fictional character you think would make a perfect Christmas elf.

Can I take a pass right now?

Match a book to its perfect Christmas song.

Santa Tell Me by Ariana Grande with What Light by Jay Asher!

A book or fictional character you’ve been disappointed in (should be put on the naughty list).

Tamlin. Y’all I had so high hopes for him when I was reading ACOTAR (and I wasn’t apart of the book community back then so I wasn’t spoiled).

A book or fictional character you think deserves more love and appreciation (should be put on the nice list).

The Testing by Joelle Charbonneau! This book was one of my favorites during freshman year in high school! It’s kind of like The Hunger Games and The Program had a book baby.

A book cover that has a wonderfully Christmassy feel to it.

My True Love Gave to Me: Twelve Holiday Stories

I love the cover for My True Love Gave to Me edited by Stephanie Perkins! It so cute with all of the couples skating on the pond.

A book or series you love so much that you want everyone to find it under their Christmas tree this year.

I’m going to say Sorcery of Thorns because it has everything from magic to adventure to sassy characters to SLOW burn romance

Jingle Bell Book Tag

I recently saw this tag on The Brunette Bookworm‘s blog!

This tag was created by Richard at The Humpo Show.

“All I Want For Christmas Is You…” | What book do you want to see under the Christmas Tree?

Surprisingly, I didn’t ask for any books this year because my reading is all over the place and I didn’t feel like making a list.

“Simply Having A Wonderful Christmas Time…” | What book that you have read this year have you enjoyed the most?

This is really a hard question because I’ve read so many books and enjoyed the majority of them. *If* I had to pick the top book, it would be between Sorcery of Thorns and A Curse So Dark and Lonely.

“It’s Beginning to look a lot like Christmas…” | Which book has most festive look to it?

Besides Me True Love Gave to Me, What Light has some major festive vibes to it!

Elf | What book unleashes your inner child?

Percy Jackson and Twilight hands down.

The Grinch | Your favorite villain…

IDK. I like the Darkling but it’s been years since I read Shadow and Bone and haven’t pick up the rest of the series… so I feel like I can’t really say him.

The Holiday | Name your favorite TWO couples…

Tessa and Will from The Infernal Devices and Feyre and Rhys from ACTOAR.

What book would you like to give as a present to your followers?

Obsidian by Jennifer L. Armentrout! I love this book, and it’s so underhyped. I’m about to reread it soon for JLA’s book club.

‘Tis the Season Book Tag

I saw this on Emma’s blog @ AFCTL and thought the questions were so interesting!

This tag was originally created by Bookishly Richie on Youtube.

Do you have a favorite winter read?

Surprisingly I don’t. I’m not huge on rereading books, and I’m a mood reader, so it’s whatever I feel like at the moment.

Find a book with blue on the cover!

Mockingjay by Suzanne Collins

Find a book you’d use as a star on a Christmas tree!

Winterwood by Shea Ernshaw without the dust jacket! Preferably the OwlCrate one because the book is blue.

Pick one fictional place that would be perfect for a winter vacation.

The Night Court!

Pick one fictional character you would take with you on a winter vacation.

I have to pick one?! I can’t… Nope. Not even going to answer that.

Name one book on your wishlist this year

I’d love to get the 10th anniversary edition of Clockwork Angle and the special edition of ACOTAR!

Favorite holiday drink, treat and movie?

Mmmm… I’m going to have to go with peppermint mocha, pound cake, and The Santa Clause.

If you complete any of these tag, make sure to tag me so I can read it!

Happy reading until next time,
