Books I Bought Recently (and why I bought them): TTT

Hi everyone! Hope everyone is taking it easy (well easy as it can go with everything going on) but you get my drift. Today’s prompt for TTT is books I bought/ borrowed recently because…. which opens so many doors. I’m not good with writing posts when there’s so many ways to interpret the prompt!

I have a couple of new posts like how to reduce a reading slump, free books on Amazon, and my March wrap up!

TTT is a weekly meme hosted by thatartsyreadergirl.

Ten Signs You’re a Book Lover

(The books are ordered newest to oldest purchases)

Existence by Abbi Glines

I found out that this ebook was free on Amazon while making another list of free books yesterday and had to get it because a) I love Abbi’s book and b) didn’t know that she had noncontemporary books until I had read Charmed not to long ago! I believe that this book is about aliens, so I’m interested to see what happens!

From Blood and Ash by Jennifer L Armentrout

This is Jennifer’s newest book that she basically dropped without any notice! I believe it’s NA/adult romance book! Do I know much about this book? Nope, it was very much an impulse buy last Tuesday, but Jen is one of my auto buy authors and I needed some cheering up in the form of a book!

Serpent and Dove by Shelby Mahurin

I finally got a copy of Serpent and Dove! I’ve been wanting this book forever and was praying that one of the book boxes I was subscribed to last year was going to have it as their BOTM, but nope… months after the pub date and many people talking about, I got it. Plus I heard there’s a spicy scene somewhere in it! And I also needed to spend about $10 more when I bought Jen’s book so I could get free shipping on Amazon.

Adorkable by Cookie O’Gorman

With a tittle like Adorkable, how can anyone’s contemporary loving heart pass it up? Plus it was like $7 on target. I mean, I couldn’t pass it up. And, it’s fake dating with your best guy friend… what could go wrong?

Tweet Cute by Emma Lord

What’s cuter than falling in love with someone on Twitter? It’s like one of the most modern sounding ways to find love these days… jk. It has enemies to lovers in the most unlikely way for literarily everyone to see. Plus Jack is basically my type of guy who’s the class clown always making everyone laugh.

The Upside of Falling by Alex Light

Another fake dating book. Are you seeing a theme with the ya contemporary books? This one features the quite girl and a football player… basically my high school dream (although I’m more of a baseball person). It sounded to cute to pass up, plus I’ve been thinking about it since it was released a couple of months ago.

Tainted Romance by Simone Elise

I’ll be honest. The only reason I bought this book is because it’s about werewolves. I’ve never heard of the author before and found it while browsing on Amazon late at night (which I don’t recommend), and I was on the cheaper side for an indie book so I said what the heck, add it to the cart.

Haunted by Mila Young

A RH book about a retelling of Little Red Riding Hood with werewolves… yes please. I’ve never read a book by Mila and haven’t heard much about her work (yet I’m in her Facebook group). I’m excited to read a RH retelling since I haven’t read any yet!

Draco by Autumn Reed & Julia Clarke

I haven’t bought or read a RH book in a while and needed to continue this series, so here I am. The first book was a basic with the story so I’m hoping that it’ll start to pick up in this one (along with the romance since it’s a slow burn romance)!

What are some books that you recently bought? Let me know below!

Happy reading until next time,
