Hi everyone! So, this may be a bit overdue, but I don’t think it’s a good idea for me to combine April and May wrap-up/haul since I’ve been reading a good bit lately and that post would be pretty long! Let me tell y’all April FLEW by compared to January and March; one day it was April Fool’s day then the next it was the last week of the month and I was like what the heck?! My spring break was gone in a blink of an eye because I was worrying about school and having to do care plans that I didn’t have any time to relax.
The good thing about April is that I started to incubate some of my chickens’ eggs and they hatched last week! It was an experience that I’m so glad I was able to have because it was so awe inspiring to see the chicks develop and watch it hatch out of the shell.
Wrap-Up:
Meet Me at Midnight by Jessica Pennington
Run Away with Me by Mila Gray
The Missing Wolf by G. Bailey
Hunted by Mila Young
The Deal by Stella Gray
Something Unusual by Kit Winters
The Upside of Falling by Alex Light
I’d say that overall, I had a pretty good reading month in April considering how I was doing online school and having to spend hours on end doing virtual clinical! April was one of those weird months were I was borderline reading slump without ever entering it with the amount of school I was doing and having so many books to review before a certain time that I felt so drained and had very little motivation to read.
Overall, I enjoyed most of the books I read! I’m planning on reviewing the Upside of Falling and The Deal soon, so watch out for those!
Haul:
Serpent & Dove by Shelby Mahurin
From Blood and Ash by Jennifer L. Armentrout
I could have sworn that I bought a couple more books in April but after checking my usual book buying places, it turned out that I really only bought two books! I’ve been wanting to get a copy of Serpent and Dove for a while now (ok basically since it came out) and finally found the opportunity when JLA literally dropped From Blood and Ash out of nowhere and I just had to buy another book so I could qualify for free shipping (you know the struggles of being a book worm, but I’m not complaining)!
