Hi everyone! Happy Tuesday! It’s been a hot minutes since I’ve done a Top Ten Tuesday; today’s prompt is Favorite Book Quotes. I’ve done a couple of posts with some of my favorite quote in the past: Book Quotes and Flashback Friday Book Quotes, so I’m excited to share some more of my favorite quotes!
I’m also trying to get back into blogging after September has been a crazy month! Some of my recent posts are Books Scenes that Made Me Cry || Bookish Box Unboxings || FairyLoot Unboxings || Beacon Book Box Unboxings.
TTT is a weekly meme hosted by thatartsyreadergirl.
“Life is a book and there are a thousand pages I have not yet read.”
— Cassandra Clare, Clockwork Princess
“One must always be careful of books,” said Tessa, “and what is inside them, for words have the power to change us.”
― Cassandra Clare, Clockwork Angel
“Remember when you tried to convince me to feed a poultry pie to the mallards in the park to see if you could breed a race of cannibal ducks?”
― Cassandra Clare, Clockwork Angel
“They ate it too,” Will reminisced. “Bloodthirsty little beasts. Never trust a duck.”
“Books, too, had hearts, though they were not the same as people’s, and a book’s heart could be broken: she had seen it happen before. Grimoires that refused to open, their voices gone silent, or whose ink faded and bled across the pages like tears.”
― Margaret Rogerson, Sorcery of Thorns
“God, Elisabeth, I’ve been doomed since the moment I watched you smack a fiend off my carriage with a crowbar. How could you not tell? Silas has been rolling his eyes at me for weeks.”
― Margaret Rogerson, Sorcery of Thorns
“I could always give you a teaser. You bookish people love teasers, don’t you?”
― Jennifer L. Armentrout, Onyx
“Nothing to do but admit that—obnoxious smirk or not—this boy is sexy af. A little wicked, a lot wild, and all dangerous.”
― Tracy Wolff, Crave
“It’s you. It’s always been you and I’m tired of fighting it.”
― Erin Watt, Paper Princess
“Life is made of so many moments that mean nothing. Then one day, a single moment comes along to define every second that comes after. Such moments are tests of courage, of strength.”
― Sabaa Tahir, An Ember in the Ashes
“To the stars who listen—and the dreams that are answered.”
― Sarah J. Maas, A Court of Mist and Fury

Even though I’ve only read one Sarah J. Maas book, the quotes from her books are still so familiar to me because they are such favorites for other readers! Love your list : )

Brilliant quotes!! I love the paper princess one, it’s such a moving book you could have picked so many haha. I tried this TTT, but ended up turning it into a game guessing which book the quotes were from. See how you get on!! 🙂 https://hundredsandthousandsofbooks.blog/2020/09/29/top-ten-tuesday-guess-the-books-for-my-favourite-quotes/
