Awaken is a fast paced book that follows Sapphira a young lady who is thrusted into a world that was thought to have belonged in only books and television shows.
After her near death experience one night, she finds herself at first questioning her friends sanity as she thought it was one big elaborate prank, then the quality of her friendships since there belong to this newly unbidden world sent to watch over her, and one big question that everyone is hesitant to answer… how does she fit into all of this.
As the truth starts to come out throughout the story, Sapphira has to decide if she is going to be Light or Dark, who she can trust, and if she believes in herself enough to do what needs to be done.
Awaken has such a fun cast of characters in this story that adds so much to an already wonderful plot. They add everything from humor to a dark and heavy situation to the reality wake up that you need to be reminded that there is something much bigger going on.
This is a story that may seem a little familiar in the beginning, but once you start running and getting to a point where you don’t want to put it down, you’ll wonder how you even began to compare it to another book!
