OMG! That Song Book Tag

Hi everyone! So, if you’ve noticed, my blogging content has kind of inadvertently changed over last couple of months. I’ve been busy with school as I was taking Family Centered Nursing last semester during the spring which consisted of OB and Peds content. Then I started my last semester of my ADN program a couple of weeks ago and have been in class nearly Monday through Friday since and studying and working on assignments when I’m not in class.

I’ve been able to read a little bit a night before bed but not as much as I normally would, so the amount of reviews have been cut down pretty dramatically. I’ve been able to mostly keep up with weekly release posts, and some book promotional things based on whatever bookstagram tour I’m working on, but in general my blog has taken the brunt of free time just because it takes a bit longs to construct a good blog post.

I’ve been posting pretty regularly on my bookstagram and booktok, if you’d like more frequent bookish content from me!

My family also adopted a cat from out local animal shelter back in April, and she’s come such a long way from when we first got her!

Anyways, I thought that I’d try again to go through all of the book tags and awards that have been accumulating in my pending section of my comments; for a while I was doing good about catching up, but once again school got in the way.

I was tagged by Danni @ _forbookssake to do the OMG! That Song Book Tag created by Katie @ Katesbookdate.

My Jam: A song you have to listen to no matter how many times you’ve heard it before
and a book you’ll never get sick of

For me the song that I can listen to over and over again is She Looks So Perfect by 5SOS! As for the book, I would say the Ghost Bird Series by C.L. Stone! This is the first reverse harem book series that I had read and was hooked by the concept after reading the GB series! There’s currently 12 books out and is one of the most reread series I have!

Throwback: A song that reminds you of the cringiest time in your life and a book you read that you wouldn’t like if you were to read it now

Girlfriend by Avril Lavgine. I’m not going into details as to why it reminds me of a cringe worthy moment because well, it happened in middle school.

I know for a fact I probably wouldn’t like the Divergent Series by Veronica Roth if I was to read it now because one, I haven’t read a dystopian book in ages and two, the series to me had gotten progressively less interesting with each book.

Replay: A recent song that you have on repeat and a recent favorite book

Right now I’m in love with Til Forever Falls Apart by Ashe and Finneas, and my most recent favorite book would be The Deal by Elle Kennedy!

Gets Me: A song that is literally me and a book that is me in book form

Maybe Accidently in Love by Counting Crows? I don’t know if I really have a song to fit me. I’d say that there’s a combination of books like The Problem with Forever by JLA and To All the Boys by Jenny Han kind of have aspects that are similar to my life.

Wut: A weird song that you liked anyway and a unique book that stuck out to you for some reason

Oops by Young Gravy and I 100% blame tiktok for it because of it being popular one there for a hot second and me hearing the same 15-20 seconds over and over again.

Obsidian by JLA because was the first alien book I had read that dealt with enemies to lovers and a broody love interest.

Let’s Go: Pick your best pump up song and a book that inspires you

I’m going to go with Closer by The Chainsmokers; every time I hear it I have to turn the volume up!

I think all books inspire me to a certain extent in ways that makes me want to be a better person or to be more fearless and take risks in life to being more compassionate.

Chill: Your best relaxing song and a book you’d curl up with on a rainy day

There’s not one particular song that comes to mind. I don’t listen to instrumental stuff, but as long as it’s not an angsty song it’ll probably be good enough. And, whatever I’m currently reading is that book that I’d curl up with on a rainy day!

Addicting: A guilty pleasure song and a light, trashy read you can’t help but love

I won’t say that I have a guilty pleasure song either because I listen to whatever whenever, as for the other part of the question, there’s definitely some RH books that fit that but I can’t exactly say because I frequently read ARCs for the series.

Nostalgia: A throwback song you look back on fondly and a book you read and loved when you were young

Sprinsteen by Eric Church. I don’t know why, but this song takes me back to my middle school era when I was a big country fan.

The Selection Series by Kiera Cass!

Happy reading until next time,
