Review:

4.5 Stars

Ranger is book 4 in the Reynolds Protective Series. This is an interconnected series of the Reynold siblings in a small town in Wyoming.

Sydney is a famous romance author who had just about everything from a relationship with her fiancé and a rather successful career as an author. That is until she found out that fiancé had been cheating on her and in the newest book she release, she had killed off the main love interest as he was based on her ex-fiancé. Since then, fans have been sending her hate emails for killing the character in her book, and her publishing company is thinking about dropping her given the turn of events.

Needing to step away from everything in New York, Sydney decides that she should take a break to heal and decides to rent an above the garage apartment in the middle of no where Wyoming.

Once she arrives, it’s everything she needed in the small town, and she meets Ranger who is the brilliant yet socially awkward man who is her tenant. He’s handsome in the way that she’s not normally drawn to with his curly brown hair and sweater vest.

Ranger doesn’t know how to handle his attraction to Sydney. He has a near photographic memory with a mine that runs a million miles an hour, yet when he’s around her his mind is quiet except for the thought of her.

They get along really well as Ranger spouts off random facts and has a tendency to be quite literal about things, yet Sydney takes it in strides, and their sexual tension build with each moment.

Just as they explore their chemistry, Sydney’s life is once again turned upside as the paparazzi finds out that she is Wyoming and takes her relationship with Ranger and run with it setting off a crazed fan who believes he should have had Sydney.

This story is told from alternating POVs and is fast paced, interesting with its plot and characters, and is spicy where Ranger is a quick learner as to how to make Sydney happy (wink, wink).

Now, I just have to go back and read the beginning books of the series!

Happy reading until next time,
