Ruthless. Meticulous. Arrogant.

He never planned to marry…until the threat of blackmail forces him into an engagement with a woman he barely knows.

Vivian Lau, jewelry heiress and daughter of his newest enemy. The wife he never wanted, and the weakness he never saw coming.

It doesn’t matter how beautiful or charming she is. Dante will do everything in his power to destroy the blackmail and their betrothal.

There’s only one problem: now that he has her, he can’t bring himself to let her go.

***

Elegant. Ambitious. Well-mannered.

Vivian Lau is the perfect daughter and her family’s ticket into the highest echelons of society.

Marrying a blue-blooded Russo means opening doors that would otherwise remain closed to her new-money parents.

While the rude, elusive Dante isn’t her idea of a dream partner, she agrees to their arranged marriage out of duty.

Craving his touch was never part of the plan.

Neither was the worst possible outcome: falling in love with her future husband.

Why did I wait so long to read this book? King of Wrath is the first book of the Kings of Sin Series by Ana and is set in NYC in the same world of the Twisted Series.

King of Wrath featured Dante who was seen in Twisted Lies and has so overlapping events from that book as well. There are also some spoilers for Twisted Games but no spoilers for Twisted Love and nothing really for Twisted Hate.

Part of the reason why I love this book is because its interconnection to Twisted Lies which I love, but King of Wrath is a story all of its own.

Dante is the CEO of his family business that has old money, but brother’s life is on the line with Vivian’s father blackmail’s Dante into an arranged marriage to try to increase his own wealth and family name as they are new money who are trying to stack their claim in those of wealth.

Vivian is a rather popular event coordinator in the city and has made quite a name for herself with her events. She jumps through hoops trying to be the perfect daughter for her parents despite being untrue to herself even if it means being married to a man with a cold heart like Dante.

Dante sees this as an opportunity to seek revenge and destroy Vivian’s father from the inside, but what he doesn’t expect is for Vivian’s whit and intelligence and both inner and outer beauty to turn his world upside.

He likes to have everything in his world in order and Vivian’s creativity and life tilts the axis of his world, and what started as a business plan has turned into something more.

As Vivian and Dante start to find a truce in this arrangement, the lines are blurred between what’s real and what was part of their agreement to be civil to the point where the two could actually see themselves being happy.

But with the whole thing being build on the pretense of business and blackmail that Vivian is unaware of, it has the potential to tear everything that the two had worked so hard on building.

Being back in the world of Ana Huang with a fresh series is so exciting! The vibes in this series seem to be a bit darker with the books being set around the seven deadly sins which makes all the more enticing. This story is so fast paced that you’ll want to read it entirely without stop and then there’s the character progression of both Dante and Vivian and the spice and the revenge and drama!
